When your Wi-Fi problem is really a design problem
Slow Wi-Fi is frustrating, but the fix is rarely “just add another access point.” Reliable wireless starts with understanding the building and the work inside it.
Business Wi-Fi has to support people, phones, scanners, printers, cameras, and guests—often in the same space. When coverage is treated as the only goal, capacity, interference, roaming, and security get missed.
Look beyond the signal bars
- Capacity: an access point can show a strong signal while struggling with too many active clients.
- Placement: walls, metal, machinery, and ceiling height affect performance more than a floor plan suggests.
- Roaming: teams on voice calls and mobile devices need consistent handoff between access points.
- Segmentation: business devices, guests, cameras, and IoT should not all share the same network.
Design for the work
UniFi and UISP can be excellent building blocks when the network is planned, configured, documented, and monitored as a system. Prime Support can help diagnose the actual bottleneck and design a network that fits the way your team works.
